The system officially went live on 18 February in a ‘soft launch’ that enabled us to make sure that everything was 100 percent in the real world. We have been delighted with the response, with hundreds of maritime professionals signing-up for the free trial. This gives them time to explore every aspect of the vessel monitoring system in a live environment. Users can load up to five vessels of their choice and track their movements, or simply locate named vessels wherever they may be in the world and then apply BigOceanData’s extensive range of tools to find out more about the vessels, their itineraries and their local environments. Feedback so far has shown that the integral satellite AIS data feed and the ability to integrate third-party solutions such as SSAS have been of particular interest.
The members of our sales team have been assisting those users that have questions on the interface and its functionality, and the initial interest that the system has received since it was launched has been excellent. Over the weeks and months ahead we will be continuing to spread the message that it really is possible to have a modern, web-based vessel monitoring system at a price to suit every business, large or small.
