Senior C# ASP.NET Developer
Background
The successful candidate will work within the core development team designing, developing and maintaining websites, APIs and windows services supporting business functions.
Core Responsibilities
• Analyse business requirements and liaise with clients, technical and non-technical staff, as required
• Design and develop new software or modify existing software to meet business requirements, including specifications, coding, testing and user documentation
• Work on a variety of projects to specification and timescales
• Supporting live software systems, this may include activities outside of regular working hours
• Ensure all work is performed according to the company’s processes and standards
• Perform code reviews for other developers on the team in accordance with and to promote the standards followed by the development team
• Participate in the mentoring and training of team members
• Provide technical assistance and guidance as required to other staff
• Keep abreast of new technologies in the market place and share the knowledge within the team
Essential skills, experience and competencies
• Solid working knowledge and extensive industry experience of:
o ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, C#
o Javascript, jQuery
o HTML5, CSS
o Web Services
o MS SQL Server stored procedures, views, design, tuning and optimisation
• Proven and solid experience developing websites and web based applications
• Experience with agile scrum methodology and full life cycle of software development
• Good inter-personal skills with the ability to work alone or within a team
• Must be keen for new experience and responsibility with a good eye for detail
• Strong communication, problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Desirable skills
• AngularJS, Less CSS, Bootstrap or other Javascript frameworks
• Amazon AWS Cloud (RDS, Redshift, EC2’s)
• Jira Agile
• Mobile development both responsive websites and native Apps
• Experience of team leading or project management
• Test Driven Development
• Unit test frameworks
• Design Patterns
