Responding to the demands of a growing business
BigOceanData provides a central maritime intelligence service to Norwegian Hull Club’s Loss Prevention and Emergency Response team. In addition, through a series of ongoing operational workshops, BigOceanData is tailoring solutions to help meet the company’s Agile, Curious, Sharing and Integrity business goals necessary to maintain the company at the forefront of its industry.
Of key interest is to view the latest position for each vessel, monitor when vessels enter or leave certain areas providing breach reports and alerting when vessels operate against their anticipated plan. BigOceanData developed some specific new functionality upon Norwegian Hull Club’s request and integrated some new datasets, including tidal information and Search and Rescue centre locations.
In recent months, BigOceanData has developed a Scenario Generator, which allows Norwegian Hull Club staff to recreate and replay certain scenarios multiple times with customers. This feature helps train staff, customers and response teams, how to learn from best practice in the industry.
